Accessibility

Engel Pflegedienst GmbH wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of impairments of vision, hearing, motor skills or concentration. The website has been developed following the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and is being improved continuously.

This statement is based on a self-assessment by the development team. It describes only what is actually implemented, and openly names what is still missing.

The following points are implemented on this website and are carried forward with every further development:

• Full keyboard operability with clearly visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
• A skip link at the top of each page leads directly to the main content
• Semantic structure with landmarks (header, main content, footer), exactly one main heading per page and a logical heading hierarchy
• Reduced motion: if “reduce motion” is enabled on your system, animations and transitions are switched off across the entire website
• Font sizes in relative units so text can be enlarged via browser zoom and system settings; the layout is fully responsive and designed for narrow screens first
• Descriptive, language-specific alternative texts for meaningful images; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers
• Forms with visible labels, error messages in text form and programmatic marking of invalid input fields
• Touch targets of at least 44 × 44 pixels for links and buttons
• Three languages (German, English, Persian) with correct language and reading-direction markup; the Persian version runs fully right-to-left
• Consistent attention to clear colour contrast between text and background
• All content is available as regular HTML pages; no PDF documents are required

No external review, such as a BITV test or an independent WCAG audit, has taken place so far. We therefore deliberately make no formal conformance claim: this website has been developed following the principles of the WCAG and is being improved continuously.

Despite careful work, individual barriers may exist that we have not yet identified, for example in future content or in rarely used browsers and assistive technologies. We take such reports seriously and fix them as quickly as possible.
